Green Software Engineering is an emerging discipline at the intersection of climate science, software practices and architecture, electricity markets, hardware, and data centre design. We have a responsibility to make sure that we use technology to benefit both humans and the planet. Green Software Engineers are responsible for understanding and reducing the carbon pollution of their applications. Further, imagine all the decisions — good and bad — being done either based on software or directly by software itself every day... And what about ethics?
